We provide:
Individual Therapy
-
Individuals who resonate with perfectionism, high-achieving and highly anxious, and/or those hoping to work on the part of them that people-pleases, lack boundaries, or desires to communicate more effectively.
Maybe you want to work through the stressors of finding a partner in today’s dating world, maybe you want. to work through challenges in your current relationships, or maybe you just want to improve the relationship that you have within yourself.
There are no wrong answers. And there does not have to be “a big enough reason”. Maybe you just want a third-party perspective and that’s good enough.
-
Our journey together always begins with an intake session. During the initial intake we will discuss topics such as what brought you to therapy, what you’d like to focus on, and some family and personal history. You are always welcomed to take the lead on how much you are comfortable sharing during this first session. I will honor your pacing.
Sessions after the intake will vary person to person depending on your goals and what therapeutic approaches may work best for you (ex: EMDR maybe have a lengthier process depending on the challenge we are addressing). While I often do not give a definitive answer as to how long it takes to make “progress”, I will check in with you regularly as to how you are feeling and what adjustments we may need.
When you feel as if you have accomplished what you have set out to do, we will collaborate on what it looks like to end this process together.

Superbills:
For those with insurance plans that offer out-of-network benefits, you will receive a monthly superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. Please see the FAQs page for more information. It is always recommended to call your insurance company directly in order to get the most accurate explanation of benefits.
Sliding scale offered on a case by case basis.
-
I am in-network with Aetna and Cigna. Please see the FAQs page for more specific questions regarding use of your in-network benefits.
Although I will run an “insurance eligibility verification” prior to our first session to provide you with your co-pay responsibility estimate, it is always recommended to contact your insurance company directly to discuss specific benefits.
Couples Therapy
-
Couples who are committed to the relationship, but feeling stuck or discouraged in their ability to process an attachment injury, resolve a conflict, or get on the same page about the future.
I also love working with couples who simply want to improve their already secure relationship or who want to learn something new about one another!
Yet another favorite, are the couples seeking pre-marital counseling, which is more geared toward helping you align on your goals and values before taking that next step toward lifelong commitment.
-
Similar to individual therapy, the intake session will be primarily a “get-to-know-eachother” session. We will review your relationship history as a couple, your specific challenges, and your goals for therapy.
After the intake, I do one round of “individuals”, where you each attend a session individually so that I can better get to know you and understand your personal family and relationship history, perspectives, and hopes for our work together.
From there on each session will be tailored to the specific challenges that you are facing as a couple. Some will be geared toward practicing communication skills, others toward creating space for new interactions with one another, and some toward resolving gridlocked issues.
Please see the about page for more specifics on the couple’s modalities that I incorporate.

Coaching
-
Coaching is offered on case by case basis for those seeking more skill-based or goal-oriented guidance.
Coaching v. Therapy
Primary focus is on the present and the future (not delving into the past)
Focused on goal-setting, problem-solving, decision-making
Highlighting negative coping and facilitating behavior change
Developing skills to manage stress
Basic communication skills and education on health relationships
Coaching does not aim to diagnose, treat, or manage any mental health challenges. However, it may be effective for those who have previously worked through challenges in therapy and are now seeking to maintain or bolster that growth.
Unlike therapy, coaching is not limited to California residents.
-
Coaching sessions are a tad shorter and more direct than therapy sessions. The same priorities, however, of providing you with guidance from a specific lens/framework is always the goal. While we will not delve as deep into the emotional side of your challenge, I may highlight if I feel this is where you are getting the most stuck in your progress.
The coaching process is a bit more straightforward in terms of goal-setting, practical break down of strategies to achieve said goal, and opportunities for re-evaluation and modifying along the way. Plus, I will be your biggest fan and support throughout the process!
